Michigan Primary Care PLLC is Hiring a Medical Biller Near Sterling, MI

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing processes and coding.

Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount
- Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
- Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances
- Review accounts for insurance of patient follow-up
- Research and appeal denied claims

Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding
- Experience with medical office systems, EPIC knowledge preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical billing practices and regulations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, and insurance companies efficiently

Nice-to-have Skills:
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Certification in Medical Billing or related field

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
