Michigan Spring and Stamping, a KERN-LIEBERS Company is Hiring a Tool & Die Maker - 2nd shift Near Muskegon, MI

Michigan Spring and Stamping is seeking a skilled and experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team on the 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining various types of tools, dies, and fixtures used in the production process. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure that tooling is properly designed and maintained, and that production runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate, repair, and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures according to engineering specifications
  • Operate various machinery and equipment, such as milling machines, grinders, and lathes, to shape and finish tooling components
  • Inspect finished tooling to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling, and make necessary repairs and adjustments
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling designs and optimize production processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker
  • Proficiency in operating various machinery and equipment, including milling machines, grinders, and lathes
  • Strong knowledge of tooling design and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
