Job SummaryAssist the laboratory operations and ensure customer success in a key role in the sample flow process within the Customer Success Department. Sample Receiving/Login Associates engage in a variety of client centered tasks such as receiving and logging in client samples, greeting clients, addressing and routing client questions and concerns, assisting in the creation of reports and addressing other clerical duties. This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in the laboratory industry and be part of a great team!
MAJOR/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
While performing the duties of this job, incumbent is regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools or controls. Position requires standing, sitting, walking and reaching with hands and/or arms, talking clearly and/or hearing and understanding. Position often requires climbing, balancing, stooping or kneeling and lifting 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

MAJOR/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receive samples from operations staff and/or clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Record sample conditions and document any discrepancies noted upon receipt
- Review chain-of-custody paperwork and compare to samples received for accuracy
- Entry of sample receipt information into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Print and affix tracking labels on all containers
- Transfer samples to appropriate custody locations
- Assist with the other Sample Receipt / Custody related duties as necessary
- Actively participate in the company’s Quality and Safety Program
- Able to lift coolers; up to 50 lbs
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Other duties as required
- Must be a quick learner and detail oriented
- Must be a team player, but also able to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an ability to organize and prioritize work
- Basic computer skills
- Strong oral/written communication
