In the Embedded Systems labs, we work closely with our customers to help them with their engineering success. We drive engagement with customers and partners by bringing our decades of expertise in memory and storage to some of the largest automotive, industrial, and consumer companies in the world.
As a Director System Analysis and Labs for Micron Technology, Inc., you will lead a team that gets to work on these cutting-edge systems in our Micron Embedded Systems Labs.
Your team will find innovative solutions for system pain points, solve customer challenges, support joint validation and development with global stakeholders, and engage with Micron’s chipset partners to drive long term business success.
This is a global role, with direct and 'dotted line' reports and lab management responsibilities in China, US, Germany, and Japan.
What Will Lead To Success In This Role
  • Passion for leading a global team of hard working, innovative engineers, and technicians.
  • Ability to get hands-on in the lab when called upon, with a good understanding of the team’s needs and capabilities.
  • Background in memory and storage in the context of embedded systems a major plus
  • History of successful customer engagement and a passion for future customer engagement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, clear, and concise manner.
What You’ll Bring To The Job
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. MS or MBA desired.
  • Leadership experience, global leadership highly desired.
  • Direct customer support experience
  • Background in system design, system validation, system architecture, or similar with strong preference for automotive or embedded systems
  • Understanding of lab procedures and safety protocols, strong preference for IATF process understanding and experience
  • Excellent understanding of high-speed signal integrity and power integrity fundamentals
  • Experience in memory (DRAM)/storage) and understanding of how they impact systems
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and customer communications skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with customers, product engineers, and executives alike
