Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.We are seeking an EDE Equipment Software Development Engineer to support our R&D Equipment Development team in Boise, ID! This is an on-site opportunity located at our Boise R&D headquarters. Relocation support is offered.

Responsibilities will include collaborating with the EDE scanner engineering team to develop applications that will drive improvement for equipment knowledge and understanding. Continues to learn new features, hardware, process development in order to provide the quickest solutions to photo needs. This opportunity requires constant interaction with the team, vendors, process integration and many other customers. This person should have skills to multi-task to investigate and solve complex problems while continuing to deliver solutions to a list of ongoing problems. Time management skills and organization are critical in this role. The ideal candidate should have an ability to switch priorities on the fly and work on the most critical tasks at hand. This role requires the individual to be creative and think of solutions on their own. Often the requests are first of a kind and there is no current solution to review.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Good understanding of photo process.

  • Good understanding scanners from multiple vendors including scanner recipe writing, log files etc.

  • Ability to collaborate with process and equipment engineers.

  • Able to accomplish complex tasks and project quickly with minimal assistance.

  • Ability to build intuitive and efficient UI’s.

  • High level of troubleshooting skills and excellent analytical skills.

  • Ability to independently prioritize competing project and work queue.

  • Ability to understand the ROI of requests and use the information for prioritizing.

  • 5 years fab/photo experience.

  • Critical interpretation of customer requests.

OS skills:

  • Linux and command line/scripting.

  • Windows vs Linux file permissions.

  • Ability to configure and maintain Linux servers

  • Git.

Database skills:

  • Creating and managing tables.

  • MSSQL.

  • MYSQL.

Coding Capabilities:

  • PHP

  • Python

  • HTML

  • Javascript

  • Plotly

  • Perl

  • C

Nice to have:

  • JAVA (or C #)
