Implement the firmware for the latest Solid State Drive (SSD) controllers to deliver high quality, high performance designs. Define overall solution and work to design, implement, and test components. Ensure the delivered firmware is to a high quality. Utilize an Agile like approach of iterative development. Perform test driven development and continuous integration. Ensure the highest programming standards are used to produce highly readable and maintainable codes, in addition to meeting the performance and reliability objectives. Support projects from their earliest inception through simulation and pre SoC tape out on FPGA. Co-design environments and SoC bring-up. Support design through customer qualification and ramp into production. May telecommute part-time.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or in a Principal Firmware Engineer-related occupation.
