As the Sr. Manager of Global Procurement Construction Cost, you will be at the forefront of driving analytics and data collection to meet strategic objectives. Managing a team of top-tier cost analysts, you will standardize cost analysis practices and leverage technology to enhance insights and find opportunities. You will also establish methodologies with team members, ensuring flawless integration into business practices.

What’s Encouraged Daily:

Your responsibilities include team member relationship management, competitive cost negotiations, and thought leadership in procurement cost practices. Your expertise as a Quantity Surveyor will be invaluable as we integrate standard methodologies and achieve business objectives.

  • Proactive Collaboration: Work with multi-functional teams to identify project cost opportunities that enhance competitiveness and ensure successful project execution.

  • Framework Development: Create and implement a framework for continuous improvement in construction cost analysis, ensuring competitive cost negotiations for Procurement Category teams.

  • Team member Partnership: Partner with customers to apply the best cost models for various project delivery methods and strategies (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build).

  • Empower Procurement: Equip procurement partners with crucial tools and platforms for data-driven decision-making; provide consultation on negotiation strategies and fact packs.

  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with collaborators across the company (e.g., Procurement, Facilities Construction, Finance, Operations) to ensure overall project success.

  • Provide Insights: Offer insights on procurement cost-related aspects, including systems, processes, competitiveness benchmarking, and opportunities.

  • Mentorship and Development: Mentor, coach, and develop team members, promoting best practice-based solutions.

  • Data Collaboration: Work with business analytics and smart manufacturing teams to develop a database for maintaining, tracking, and reporting key cost data in relation to global economic trends.

How To Qualify:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant project and management experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or business analytics, particularly in Cleanroom/Hospital/Pharmaceutical-related projects

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, data analysis, and experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, incorporating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and benchmarking concepts.

  • Proven experience with should cost methodologies (e.g. clean sheet, liner price performance, benchmarking).

  • Excellent communication, consulting, and presentation skills.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Building & Quantity Survey, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
