As a Layout Designer in DRAM, you will co-lead layout activities for a yield-maximized, modular, tightly-coupled memory component and system: (DRAM). Join technical leaders across workloads, compute architectures, memory systems, memory components, and advanced packaging to build the first ever DRAM prototype and product roadmap.

In our Advanced Architecture DRAM Memory group we’re developing a completely new Architecture that pushes both bandwidth and energy efficiency to levels never seen before in the industry! We’re advancing the optimization of artificial intelligence within our new product line by innovating and integrating end-to-end groundbreaking front-end and backend processes with revolutionary design, debugging various tests, and qualification techniques to develop the lowest power per bit solutions to improve customer experience in the field of ML (Machine Learning) and AI (Artificial Intelligence).

 *This will be a hybrid role based out of our Boise, ID office.

*The Seniority level will be determined by a combination of education and experience.

What’s Encouraged Daily:

  • Contributing to the development of advanced DRAM architecture product opportunities by assisting with the overall design, layout, and optimization of Memory, Logic, and Analog circuits

  • Parasitic modeling and assisting in design validation, reticle experiments and required tape-out revisions

  • Overseeing and managing the layout process including floor-planning, placement, and routing

  • Performing verification processes with modeling and simulation using industry standard simulators

  • Providing technical expertise and training

  • Contributing to inter departmental communication to work towards standardization and group success

  • Work with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering groups to ensure proper manufacturability of product

  • Proactively solicit guidance from Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to ensure design quality

  • Driving innovation into the future Memory generations within a dynamic work environment

  • Mentoring Junior members of staff

How To Qualify:

  • Extensive knowledge of CMOS Circuit Design

  • Knowledge of Verilog modeling and simulation tools

  • Knowledge of logic/design verification techniques

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to efficiently synthesize and convey sophisticated technical concepts to other partners and leadership

  • Familiarity with schematic entry and simulation using Finesim/Hspice 

  • Track record of innovation and problem-solving in high-performance memory development

  • A self-motivated, hard-working team player who enjoys working with diverse abilities and backgrounds

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Having an innovative approach that is open to improving upon any of our processes or products
