Mid Columbia Forklift is Hiring a Customer Service/Sales Representative Near Yakima, WA

CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Commission/Salary Based - starting at $60,000

Well established, family-owned and operated, Material Handling dealership, looking for a Customer Sales & Service Representative to join our team. This fast-paced full-time position is based out of our Yakima, Washington location. We are seeking an individual who takes pride in their work and will play a key support role for the best customers in the state of Washington.

POSITION SUMMARY

The individuals applying for this position will have a strong desire to develop, work hard and be part of a great team. This individual will perform a variety of customer service, marketing, and sales, duties related to both parts and service . The position works closely with Service Manager, Sales Rep and Parts Manager, selling Warehouse Products, Parts, Service, and Rental solutions. This position is a base salary plus commission-based position with significant earning opportunity.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EXPECTATIONS

Required:

  • Maintains a great attitude towards continuously improving & enjoys being part of a team
  • Excellent Multi-tasking and time management skills is a must!
  • Base level mechanical and technical skills or experience required.
  • Estimate repair or service dates based on current accurate Service Department backlog
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Highly driven towards success with the ability to prioritize and organize to maximize potential
  • Passionately investigates and resolves customer problems issues or challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite, heavy emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to learn proprietary data-based software and CRM Understanding of mechanical and technical terms.
  • Mechanical experience a plus
  • Five plus years of sales experience desired
  • Military experience a bonus
  • Material Handling Equipment and Forklift Experience specifically will be highly considered for both the position and compensation.
  • Ability to pass a Washington state background check and Motor Vehicle Record check required.

Responsibilities:

  • Sells the dealership’s total capabilities and represents the company in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Tracks and manages new customer data and other sales data for current customers
  • Ensure internal and external customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner.
  • Proactively study and stay current on industry and product information.
  • Maintains detailed reports and analysis of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship opportunities.
  • Mark and store parts in stockroom according to prearranged system and assist with cycle count duties.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Fully support and manage the administration of all things “CSS” including, but not limited to documenting, tracking, filing, organizing and other After Market administrative functions as needed.
  • “Develop & Build up” the Customer Sales and Service professional skill set, and experience required to be highly successful overtime.
