What are full-time employees eligible for at MMI?

• We offer up to three weeks of PTO right in that first year of employment. You’re eligible to use it after 90 days, but you begin accruing on day 1!
• In addition to our generous PTO, we offer 12 paid holidays which includes the week between Christmas and New Year!
• Insurance benefits include two different health insurance options, vision, dental, and life insurance.

What will you do at MMI?

As a Community Coach providing CLS (Community Living Support) services, you are responsible for assisting assigned persons served in maintaining independent living. What does this look like? You arrive at the person's home ready to assist them with achieving their goals. Some goals they may have include maintaining a budget, cleaning their home, meal planning for the week or setting up appointments. You offer opportunities for growth with these individuals and learn more about their goals to provide the best possible services. In this position, you will work primarily in the Six Lakes area with services provided throughout Montcalm County. Full time may require frequent travel to communities within the Montcalm area.

As an Employment Coach, you will be responsible for providing employment and skills training to each assigned participant.

• Serving as a role model, assist in training participants in appropriate work and appearance standards.
• Assist participants to advocate/solve their own job related problems.
• Assist in providing active treatment by engaging participants in meaningful and productive activity at all times in keeping with each participant's Person-Centered Plan.
• Assist in the training of participants to move to positions of increasing responsibility and independence.
• Assume responsibility for the health and safety of participants, self and others, including training and enforcement of safety rules and regulations. Report safety concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Assist in the tracking of production for each participant.
• Serve as an advocate for participants by assuring recipient’s rights and confidentiality are protected in accordance with agency policy and the Mental Health Code, including completion of incident reports and verbal reporting to manager and/or MMI's Recipient Rights Advisor.
• Provide back up for duties of other staff as assigned by the manager.
