Job Title: Content Writer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled content writer to create engaging and compelling content for our digital platforms including RockRiverCurrent.com, radio station websites, and email newsletters. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to produce high-quality content that aligns with our brand's voice and objectives. You will work closely with our editorial, content, and sales teams to produce content that resonates with our audiences and drives engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the #2 writer for RockRiverCurrent.com, focusing on creating news stories that engage our audience, and being the lead “sponsored content” writer.
• Research, write, and edit high-quality content for various platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and more.
• Ensure all content is consistent with our brand voice, style, and tone.
• Proofread and edit content produced by other team members.
• Assist in creating content calendars and managing project timelines.
• Analyze content performance metrics and suggest improvements.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in content creation and marketing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, Journalist, or similar role.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong research skills and the ability to quickly learn new topics.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong photo and visual skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in an editorial setting or content marketing team.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and content marketing strategies.
• Basic understanding of HTML and web publishing.
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• Experience in taking engaging photos (or videos) to accompany written content.

Working Hours:
