Midas Consulting is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Framingham, MA

What you will be doing:

  • Complete electrical takeoff for various project types within scheduled periods
  • Create Scope of Work Packages for subcontractors, material suppliers, and professional services quotes
  • Review subcontractor and vendor quotations, negotiate favorable prices, compare like quotes and recommend the best value to include within estimates
  • Create estimates within HeavyBid HCSS bidding software
  • Work with other disciplines within the company (civil, mechanical, and pile driving) to share information and collaborate on combined estimates
  • Review estimates with the Division Manager, Project Manager, Chief Estimators and Executives promptly
  • Ensure the accuracy of all forecasts within your control
  • Create and maintain organized estimating files
  • Work closely with project manager and project teams to transition from the estimate stage to the construction phase

Experience you will need:

  • An electrical License is not required, but preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of electrical estimating experience working for an electrical contractor in the Industrial/Power/Controls/Transportation Sectors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to work at the project (field) and corporate offices
  • Good attitude and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
  • Ability to work at multiple project locations
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communicative skills
