Broad Function:
Summer 2024 Extended School Year (ESY) Classroom Teacher
July 8-August 2, 2024, Monday-Friday 8:45-12:15 (High needs elementary, Secondary) July 8-August 1, 2024, Monday through Thursday 8:45-11:15 (Elementary academic skills and PreK groups) (8:15-1:15 Transition)
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide direct individual, small group and/or large group instruction to address students' IEP goals/objectives Differentiate instruction Establish a productive learning environment and classroom culture in which all students are respected Supervise safe arrival and dismissal of all students assigned to their classroom. Maintain timely student attendance and progress records Consult with related service providers to address student needs Provide students, families, site coordinators and program staff with relevant and timely data, including monitoring and reporting students progress Care for program materials and resources Engage as a partner in planning and problem solving Oversee paraprofessionals assigned to ESY classroom Performs other related duties as requested by the ESY Coordinator or Supervisor of Student Services and Special Education
Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must hold certification in Special Education. Current experience working with students demonstrating a range of academic and social learning needs is preferred. Applicants must be committed to working the entire ESY session.
Salary & Compensation:
$43/hour
