Position Status Part Time Classification Title Part-Time Clerk-Level IV-Up to 19 hpw Work Location Main Campus-3600 N. Garfield, Midland, TX Job Summary

Provide reception duties for the Human Resources/Payroll and Administrative Services offices. Assist incoming customers and answer phone calls. Provide any assistance required for Midland College employees or potential employees.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of general office equipment to include fax, scanner, copier, and multi-line telephone
Computer literacy to include proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Attention to detail
Alphabetizing skills
Good organizational and interpersonal skills
Customer service oriented

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in the Human Resources field
Imaging experience

Essential Functions

General office duties including typing, imaging, filing, alphabetizing, and copying of documents
Word processing/data entry
Run errands
Respond to telephone and walk-in customer inquiries
Assist part-time employees with new employee paperwork
Assist all customers at the front desk
Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
The person in this position needs to move to other locations on campus occasionally
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
Use of manual dexterity
The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 20 pounds
Office setting
Duties indoors and some outdoors
