POSITION SUMMARY

The responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to: Inventory control; handling receiving issues and inventory issues; planning, directing and monitoring warehouse and delivery operations; conducting safety inspections; facilitating communication between the order desk and distribution; and preparing daily production reports. This supervisory role is a working role in which the individual must perform daily tasks that contribute to the operation of the shift. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday starting at 6:00am.

The ideal candidate will have least five years of warehouse experience, solid communication skills, a proven track record of dependability and an excellent attendance record. Strong Microsoft Office skills are a plus. Ideal scenario would be for the Supervisor to cover for the drivers so a CDL-A is an added bonus.

Essential Functions

• Oversee and manage dock staging areas to ensure product is organized for proper loading.
• Communicate with manager on routing process to ensure deliveries are cost effective
• Responsible for proper load securement for deliveries.
• Provide quality control inspections for high profile shipments.
• Run and monitor various reports daily.
• Distribute pick tickets based on order criteria to team members.
• Provide assistance for escalated order issues.
• Monitor truck capacity and cube trucks for delivery.
• Provide coaching and counseling when necessary to team members.
• Act as leader in charge during supervisors or managers absence.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers via phone, email and fax.
• Comply with all safety rules, policies and regulations.
• Assist employees with the reporting of all incidents, accidents and personal injuries. Assist team member with filling out appropriate incident/accident investigation forms.
• Must be proficient in the duties of Material Handler I, II, and III as it relates to warehouse operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
