Pet Groomer

Job Overview:
Dansville Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team in providing exceptional grooming services to our beloved furry clients. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and appearance of pets under our care.

Responsibilities:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Handle pets with care and compassion during grooming sessions, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including equipment sterilization and laundry duties.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations based on breed standards.
- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or abnormalities during grooming sessions and report findings to the veterinary team.
- Uphold Dansville Animal Hospital's high standards of customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.

Skills:
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician is preferred.
- Proficiency in animal handling, care, and behavior understanding.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or assisting with restraint.
- Knowledge of pet care techniques, including grooming styles specific to different breeds.
- Familiarity with dog training methods is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners.
