Midwest Allergy and Asthma Clinic is looking for an individual with both prior authorization and billing experience.

The primary role for the position will be prior authorizations, with the ability to provide some back-up support for our billing team.

The main duties of the position will be speaking with insurance companies and pharmacies, keeping up with prior authorizations for specialty drugs, communicating with our physicians, and providing great customer service for our patients.

• 1-5 years of medical experience preferred
• Working knowledge of insurance companies and terminology related to benefit information
• Computer literate, with accurate keyboard skills.
• Ability to manage difficult situations in a positive manner.
• Experience with inbound and outbound calls
• Pleasant speaking voice and calm demeanor; customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Attention to detail

The position is part-time with opportunity to work additional hours for back-up support. Hours are M-F and can be somewhat flexible.
