PROJECT MANAGER POSITION
To support our growth, we are adding a full-time PROJECT MANAGER to our deep foundation team!
Midwest Drilled Foundations & Engineering, Inc. is looking for a Project Manager candidate. We are a deep foundation specialty contractor. We design and build strong foundations for every type of structure, from the longest bridges to the tallest buildings to single family homes. Based out of Waukesha, we work throughout our state of Wisconsin, as well as from the Dakotas to Delaware. We have a collegial, team oriented working environment with a long-term outlook. Project Manager Responsibilities
· Oversee and consult with engineers or draftsperson for development of shop drawings.
· Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
· Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them.
· Monitor and control projects with our superintendent to plan, organize, and direct activities to ensure the project is completed on schedule and within budget.
· Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
· Work to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the customer.
· Summarize our contract scope of work responsibilities and exclusions for the field project supervisor.
· Purchase major project materials and subcontractors.
· Manage invoicing and purchase orders.
· Create timelines, schedules and updates for our clients.
· Regularly identify ways to refine and enhance our workflow process.
· Mitigate the impact of potential negatives or conditions and facilitate corrective or alternative measures.
· Oversight of installation records, testing records, and as-builts for completed projects.

· Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
· Excellent mathematical Skills.
· Ability to support contract negotiation and execution.
· Capable of working as part of a collaborative team or independently.
· Ability to represent the company by communicating on every level in a professional, mature, clear manner.
· Knowledge of Milwaukee, Madison, and the surrounding area is a plus.
· Valid driver’s license. Must have good motor vehicle record.
· Familiar with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and HCCS.
· Strong work ethic with commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Work Environment
The position is located in Waukesha, WI. The position is an office environment, in addition to being exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. Must be able to work in high pressure situations facing strict deadlines.
Salary Range
Wage is dependent upon education, qualifications, certifications, and job-related experience of the candidate.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Time is spent in an office environment and/or at construction job sites.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time salaried position. The hours of work are Monday through Friday or as determined by the employees’ manager.
Travel
Travel is required from time to time. Would need to occasionally travel to a site to inspect progress. Overnight trips are not a normal occurrence.
