Job Details Level Entry Job Location Peterbilt of Lincoln - Lincoln, NE Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Travel Percentage Road Warrior Job Shift Day Job Category Sales Description Business Development- Yard Spotters role will be to sell, lease and rent new and used yard spotters. The candidate will work closely with the Tico sales manger, and other dealership personnel to drive the overall success of yard spotters sales, rentals, leases, parts sales and service. The organization will look to this person to develop into the subject matter expert on yard spotters and will seek collaboration when it comes to support services and parts initiatives. Major duties and responsibilities: Develop customer relationships. Develop and execute customer presentations. Collaborate with fellow employees and suppliers. Secure customer commitments. Train customers on yard spotter product. Utilize company CRM to capture customer information and plan for future contact. Assist with the planning of stock orders in both quantities and timing. Provide input for all yard spotter marketing efforts through Tico sales manager. Produce "walk around" marketing videos for all new & used yard spotters. Perform lease, rental, and sales documentation functions. Assist with rental document functions as needed. Complete assigned training in specified timeframes. Educate other team members on yard spotter products as needed. Meet goals assigned by Midwest Peterbilt Group Own the delivery process and customer first experience with both product and the dealership Attend all MPG, yard spotter OEM, and third part training classes as assigned. Study yard spotter specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application. Follow up on all details pertaining to orders and transaction paperwork. Understand and comply with industry regulations. Attend sales meetings. Schedule and follow up on pre-deliveries. Schedule and coordinate all aspects of spotter delivery to end user. Check in and thoroughly inspect incoming new and used equipment. Attend industry events as agreed with manager. Maintain professional appearance. Other tasks as assigned. Education: High School Diploma Computer Skills: Moderate to intermediate computer skills with fundamental computer operations, spreadsheets, word processing, database, e-mail, and CRM software. Language Skills: The ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, legal documents, and government regulations. The ability to write reports, and business correspondence. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, common inquires, or complaints, from customers, and the general public. Mathematical skills: The ability of performing basic math as well as calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, statistics, area, circumference, and volume. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Reasoning ability: The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting, and possessing an understanding of the appropriate time to speak. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to meet insurability requirements with the Company's insurance company. Travel: Two to three days per week should be allotted for contacting new and established customers to follow through on appointments that were previously scheduled.
