JOB PURPOSE
To provide administrative support to the Academics Department
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Exhibit a professional and friendly manner with all visitors, faculty, and staff.
  • Prepare coffee and order supplies for coffee area as necessary.
  • Maintain an adequate stock of supplies for the office and printers.
  • Reconcile faculty professional development funds expenditures and budgets.
  • Reconcile faculty credit card statements for processing in Financial Services.
  • Prepare check requests for stipend and miscellaneous reimbursement requests for faculty, adjunct professors, graders, and field supervisors.
  • Deliver approved check requests to Financial Services and Human Resource Offices for payment.
  • Ensure Academics’ classrooms are kept tidy and adequate supplies (markers and erasers) are available.
  • File electronic and physical documents for Academic Services business.
  • Serve as liaison for overseas and domestic study tours.
  • Assist faculty with travel and accommodations arrangements.
  • Provide assistance with faculty contract processing and semester evaluations.
  • Prepare adjunct professor approval letters, manage approval finalization, and notify Human Resources for onboarding.
  • Maintain the class schedule calendar and update prior to the start of each semester.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Include, but not limited to:
  • Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God.
  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • Positive attitude with a desire and willingness to learn.
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
  • Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department.
  • Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be familiar with Office 365 Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to pass background screening, including driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at a desk or computer station.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • May be required to transport boxes of mail to and from surrounding offices.
