Job Title: Lead Server - New Italian Restaurant

Milano's Italian Restaurant is excited to be part of Plattsmouth and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Server to join our growing team. We are looking forward to provide exceptional dining experiences, featuring an outstanding Italian cuisine, in a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a Lead Server, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for our guests, ensuring they leave with memories of a remarkable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Build, supervise, and mentor a team of servers, instilling a commitment to exceptional service and adherence to restaurant policies and standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to guests, ensuring their experience aligns with the restaurant's vision and exceeds expectations.
• Effectively communicate with the management team, kitchen staff, and other team members to maintain seamless operations and promptly address any concerns.
• Manage the smooth flow of service, including seating arrangements, order taking, food and beverage delivery, and issue resolution.
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of our menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings, to provide informed recommendations and upsell items as appropriate.
• Ensure tables are set up correctly, stocked with necessary items, and cleared promptly to maintain a clean and inviting dining environment.
• Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as all local, state, and federal laws governing restaurant operations.
• Address and resolve guest complaints, ensuring their satisfaction and upholding the restaurant's reputation for exceptional service.
• Assist in inventory management and communicate supply needs to management as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or culinary training is a plus.
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred, but we can train the right person.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software.
• Exceptional attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and organizational skills.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
