Milestones Behavioral Health Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana

Full Time - Addiction Psychiatrist Opportunity

Milestones will be a 68-bed new acute hospital located at 320 N Tibbs Ave Indianapolis, IN. This hospital will serve adults for detox, primary substance abuse, primary psychiatric and cooccurring psych/SUD conditions. In addition, the hospital will have IOP/PHP services. 

Overview:

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
• Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
• One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
• Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Board certification in psychiatry
• Expereince and/or certifcation in Addiction.
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
