How You Can Make An ImpactThe Material Handler provides warehouse services through safe, efficient, cost effective and accurate handling of materials using manual labor and standard power equipment. The Material Handler picks rolls and places them into pans ensuring proper quantity. Visually inspects product to ensure proper quality by monitoring color and texture.
A Day In The Life
  • Picks product from warehouse area, and places it in pans according to prescribed quantity and placement.
  • Performs visual inspection of product to ensure quality by monitoring color and texture.
  • Visually checks for accuracy. (Ask Matt what this means. Should we rewrite or combine with line 2?)
  • Communicates with Sheeting Operator to ensure roll quality.
  • Works cooperatively with other members of the processing area.
  • Maintains company standards for: cleanliness, rolls, equipment, food safety & productivity in the processing area.
  • Ensures compliance to quality.
  • Assists Operator in moving finished loads to print stage area.
  • Operates Clamp Truck and loads paper rolls.
This is a full-time, on-site position on second shift (3:00PM-11:00PM Eastern Time Monday-Friday). However, changes in manufacturing needs and schedules may necessitate a change to the original agreed upon hours, or the working of additional, overtime hours. Every effort will be made to give advance notice of any permanent changes.
Capabilities & ExperienceBasic Qualifications
  • Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend instructions. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standard situations.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred QualificationsMill Rock teammates come from diverse backgrounds that help us innovate new possibilities daily. While the qualifications listed below are preferred, they are not required.
  • Paperboard folding carton industry experience.
  • Printing experience.
  • Forklift & Forklift Clamp experience.
