Led by Former Prosecutor, Christopher Millar, we handle all types of cases from criminal traffic misdemeanors to all serious felony offenses, including but not limited to aggravated assault, domestic violence, theft, DUI, robbery, kidnapping, and fraud. We aim to provide our clients with the best criminal defense representation both inside and outside the courtroom. We are looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Associate Attorney at Millar Law, P.L.L.C., located in Gilbert, AZ with flexibility for some remote work. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for researching, writing, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, conducting hearings and trials in various courts, and providing legal advice and counsel to clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
- Minimum two years of experience practicing criminal defense law
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Experience in trials and hearings in various courts in Arizona
- Solid understanding of Arizona criminal law and procedure
- Ability to think critically and strategically, and to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills
- Passionate about justice and committed to providing high-quality representation to clients
- Military Veteran Preferred
- Former Prosecutor Preferred
Skills
- Strong legal drafting and writing skills
- Proficient in conducting legal research using Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other resources
- Ability to litigate cases effectively in court
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
