Millennium Advisors, LLC is in the early stages of building out a robust securities lending business, and we are seeking a talented and motivated Trading Assistant/Middle Office professional to join our team. Position Summary:

The Trading Assistant/Middle Office role is critical to our securities lending operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the trading desk and ensuring the smooth execution of securities lending transactions. This role requires a deep understanding of DTC settlements, Loanet, and the securities lending market. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience and a passion for building processes and systems in a rapidly evolving business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trade Support: Assist traders with the execution of securities lending transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all trade processing activities.
• DTC Settlements: Oversee and manage the settlement of securities lending transactions via the Depository Trust Company (DTC). Ensure all settlements are processed smoothly, and resolve any issues that arise during the settlement process.
• Loanet Management: Utilize Loanet for trade input, position management, and reconciliation. Ensure accurate reporting and tracking of all securities lending transactions.
• Middle Office Operations: Provide daily operational support for the trading desk, including trade booking, position reconciliation, and reporting. Ensure all trades are accurately reflected in internal systems.
• Risk Management: Monitor and manage counterparty risk, collateral management, and other risk-related aspects of securities lending transactions.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control within the trading and middle office functions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front office traders, back office teams, and external counterparties to resolve issues and ensure seamless execution of transactions.
• Business Development: Participate in initiatives to build out and enhance the firm's securities lending capabilities, including system enhancements, process reengineering, and new product offerings.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a trading assistant, middle office, or operations role within securities lending or a closely related area.
• FINRA Licenses: Series 7, Series 63 required.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with DTC settlements and Loanet is required. Experience with other trading and settlement platforms is a plus.
• Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of the securities lending market, including key market participants, regulations, and trading practices.
• Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with traders, counterparties, and internal teams.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement changes to improve processes and outcomes.
• Initiative: Self-motivated and eager to contribute to a growing business. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
