About the Role

The Corporate & Commercial Litigation Associate at Miller Berger LLC enjoys working onsite while being able to work together with fellow attorneys. As a Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks related to corporate and commercial litigation matters. Qualified candidates will have at least three years of relevant experience including the review and preparation of corporate documents and contracts, conducting legal research, drafting briefs, preparing, and arguing motions, handling fact and expert discovery, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparation.

The ideal candidate should be creative, competitive, resourceful, a team player, unafraid of accountability and responsibility, an excellent writer and oral communicator, and eager to join a supportive and collaborative culture of lawyers and professionals.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of experience in corporate and commercial law
• Proficiency in legal research and writing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to handle a high volume of work and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with court procedures and litigation processes
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Illinois
