In residential and commercial settings, the Window Treatment Installer is responsible for the professional and precise installation of various window treatments, including blinds, shades, and shutters. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their preferences, taking accurate measurements, and ensuring that installations are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities.

  • Take precise measurements of windows to ensure proper fit and installation
  • Provide recommendations on suitable windows coverings.
  • Install a variety of window treatments, including blinds, shades, and shutters, using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Ensure that installations are completed accurately, securely, and by manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by the clients during or after the installation process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the installation process.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on installation progress and address any questions or concerns.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and other colleagues to coordinate installation schedules and logistics.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and product developments related to window treatments.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a window treatment installer.
  • Knowledge of different types of window treatments and their installation requirements.
  • Ability to accurately measure windows and assess installation needs.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in installation work.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address any installation challenges or issues.
  • The ability to lift and maneuver window treatments and installation equipment.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification or knowledge of safety protocols is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or certification in carpentry, interior design, or a related field may be beneficial.

Working Conditions

  • The job requires extensive travel to different locations for client locations. Depending on the installation location, the job may involve working indoors or outdoors. It may also require lifting and carrying heavy materials and working at heights using ladders or scaffolding. Flexibility in scheduling is often necessary to accommodate client appointments and project deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Frequency of physical activity throughout shift:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, bending/twisting of neck and waist, squatting and kneeling
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects from floor, conveyor, vehicle, table, or overhead location
  • Frequent lifting of 10-65 lbs. throughout shift
  • The work environment consists of physical conditions typical of a retail store. Full-physical mobility is required to perform this job; constant standing and ability to lift and move up to 65 lbs. with assistance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
