Miller Resource Group is Hiring a Director of Purchasing Near Pleasant Prairie, WI
Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is in search of a Director of Purchasing with strong leadership skills and a passion for training, ready to lead its dynamic Purchasing team.
As the Director of Purchasing, you'll provide overall strategic leadership, development and strategy implementation for sourcing Packaging, Indirect Materials, MRO, Cap-Ex and Corporate Services. You will report directly to the President/CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross functionally to support Production Operations
- Lead, coach and develop all members of the Purchasing team
- Align processes to meet business needs and sourcing goals
- Lead category management for assigned categories to deliver on initiatives
- Establish a supplier scorecard & supplier relationship management programs to manage supply base
- Foster an engaged team, promote a learning culture and ultimately impact the continuous improvement of Purchasing
- Work with Suppliers to identify cost savings opportunities and drive innovation
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and T’s & C’s
- Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- 10 years of experience in Procurement
- Food & Beverage industry experience
- Experience managing people
- Experience with Packaging, Cap-ex, MRO, etc.
