JOB SUMMARY: The Retail Project Manager works closely with the Account Director to fulfill the clients’ needs. Skills required for this role include being an outstanding communicator, able to multitask, be very proactive and organized. Must have knowledge of the larger landscape without neglecting granular details while tracking project progress, staying alert for risks and resolving issues as they arise.

Experience with retail fixtures and print is required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: 3 to 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Special Skills/Qualifications: Must have knowledge of all functions necessary to manage creative projects such as: Marketing, 2-D/3-D design, Production Art, Print Production, Design Engineering and Operations, Exceptional organizational and decision-making skills, Highly motivated, Team Player, Passionate about Retail, Ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners, and team members, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Microsoft Suite (especially Excel), PowerPoint and Project Management software systems. Experience with Smartsheet is preferred.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Responsible and accountable for managing the AOR relationship with an existing client:

• Main day-to-day client contact for the AOR; Responsible for interacting with the client regularly
• Initiate and participate in “kick off” meetings and campaign presentations
• Work closely with print vendors to ensure execution of merchandising programs
• Work closely with Account Director to manage and report budgets with the client
• Participate in interagency meetings as necessary
• Manages and coordinates activities of Miller Zell’s creative personnel and freelance as appropriate, to ensure project progresses on schedule and on budget
• Effectively communicates to the Project Team the client’s needs and requests, prepares and updates status reports for ongoing activities, manages the creative and production schedules
• Responsible for proofing with vendors and press checks as appropriate
• Prepare campaign distributions for outside vendors
• Manages print production whether in-house or through the print broker – needs a strong working knowledge of digital, screen and off-set print production
• Responsible for all aspects of some special projects that may involve the design and production of fixtures; includes working with Design Development and Procurement to determine materials and production method, monitor costs, and invoicing
• Punctuality and Regular attendance are required on the job
