Job Description
  • The operator follows prescribed safety procedures.
  • The operator issues yarn to the warper creel.
  • The operator doffs warper.
  • The operator prints a section beam ticket, then doff the beam and ties the ticket on the end of the section beam.
  • The operator marks yarn count, number of ends, yards on the beam, material number, batch number, and beam number out of total beams in the set.
  • The operator places an empty beam in warper.
  • The operator wraps the yarn around the beam.
  • The warper automatically stop at the first 50 yards. The operator chalks a line across the width of the section beam and restarts warper.
  • The operator visually verifies that no mixed packages are creeled in, then signs off on the warper creel spec.
  • The warper operator repairs breaks and keys in the stop code.
  • The warper operator cleans warper and creel area in the prescribed manner.
  • At creelout, the warper operator and creeler, working as a team, prepare the new creel for startup.
They Complete The Following Steps
  • Cut the ends loose on the beam.
  • Cut the ends loose at the creel and discarding the waste into a waste can.
  • Place all combs into the proper position at the Lindly.
  • Blow off the warper and creel.
  • Turn the creel so that the full packages are in the proper startup position.
  • Pull ends through the eyelets, bring ends up to lindly and lay ends into the combs.
  • Place lindly comb into proper run position and placing front comb into proper position on warper head.
  • The operator scans the production order which sends all yarn specifications to the warper.
  • Start yarn around beam.
  • At creel out, if there are 2 creel outs at the same time, each operator works on the 2 different creel outs and 1 operator is required to step down from the creel out to start up
an end break on the other warper (other warper cannot stand more than 10-15 minutes). Any creel out lasting more than 75 minutes will require a verbal explanation.
  • If operator identifies non-conforming material, operator notifies production manager and/or technician.
AUTHORIZATION SHUTDOWN
The warper operator is authorized to shut down the warper and notify the production manager and/or technician when detecting the following.
  • Stop motion malfunction
  • Incorrect end count
  • Safety hazard
QUALITY AUTHORIZATION SHUTDOWN
The warper operator is authorized to shut down the warper and notify the production manager and/or process improvement when detecting the following. If operator does not comply with these guidelines there will a verbal conservation first and if not followed a second time there will be a documented. conservation.
  • Creel is not set to specifications
  • More than a 10 end breakout
  • Mixed ends
  • More than 3 jump overs at one time
  • Selvage too high or low
