MAIN FUNCTION: The Education Coordinator will have direct responsibility of coordinating educational efforts with clinical department directors/managers. Primary duties include, preparing didactic course work, creating policies and procedures, providing hands-on training, and conducting evaluations and competencies. The Education Coordinator will demonstrate inter-professional collaboration with physicians, hospital leadership team members, front-line staff, and external agency employees to maintain, grow, and refine the intellectual standard within the hospital.
OTHER DUTIES: Clinical instructor for EMCC students in their clinical setting. Have a presence in the EMCC virtual classroom to answer questions. Proctor exams. Grade papers. Initiates clinical skills development programs within the parameters set by department directors/managers.
The responsibilities of this position are not all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the VP of Patient Services/Chief Nursing Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse. BSN required. Masters preferred. A relevant background in clinical education is preferred. Prefer five or more years of clinical experience in various specialties. Proven track record of presenting, educating, and evaluating students/faculty. Experience in creating policies and procedures preferred. At least one certification (Emergency Nursing, Critical Nursing and/or Nursing Leadership) is required. BLS CPR, ACLS, and PALS are required within 6 months of date of hire. Professional certification as a class instructor of nationally recognized organization preferred (i.e., BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor).
GENERAL INFORMATION: Full-time hourly position. 32 Hours per Week. Varied Hours, Monday-Friday
