The Preconstruction Coordinator plays a crucial role within our team, supporting the Estimating Department with a range of essential tasks. This highly collaborative position demands a proactive individual with exceptional communication and organizational skills, and a strong sense of accountability.
Duties:
· Work with the Preconstruction Team to solicit and follow up on bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
· Attend pre-bid meetings and bid submissions/openings.
· Prepare work to be estimated by gathering specifications, plans and proposals.
· Build bid packages including qualifications, references, minority information, safety information, etc.
· Maintain current work in progress and project experience data sheets.
· Update and maintain staff resumes for bid packages.
· Acquire bid bond and insurance requests.
· Maintain the estimating schedule and calendar, weekly scorecards, and bid tab spreads for biweekly budget/production reviews.
· Execute contracts for awarded projects, including maintenance, payment, and performance bonds.
· Attend necessary estimating, production, pre-con meetings.
· Input data into CRM .
· Use bidding software to input projects and keep software vendor database up to date.
· Complete post-bid activities.
Requirements
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
· High sense of accountability and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Exemplary scheduling and organizational skills, including the ability to independently manage multiple projects within competing time and other criteria.
· Reliable transportation.
· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.
· Exceptional verbal, written, and telecommunication skills.
· Team-oriented, cooperative, and collaborative.
· Positive and proactive attitude, analytical skills, and willingness to share or learn more.
· Construction industry experience is advantageous but not required.
