Mills and Born, Attorneys at Law is Hiring a Bilingual Immigration Paralegal Near Providence, RI

  • Assist attorneys with intake and preparation of primarily immigration cases
  • Remain current on immigration law developments
  • Use immigration case management program to file forms and keep track of fees and deadlines
  • Assist clients in applying for immigration benefits including family petitions, asylum, citizenship, and defense from deportation

Job qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prefer 1 year of experience in law firm setting and/or with immigration law
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (Additional languages of Quiche or Portguese may be considered)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong writing skills, especially in English, analytical skills
  • Ability to use a number of computer programs, including: client databases, client management software, cloud based storage,
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing demands in a busy law office
  • a consultative/teamwork approach, ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing needs
  • Understanding and appreciation of clients’ goals, cultures from around the world

We are looking for someone who is seriously interested in professional commitment, and working hard to acquire important new skills and develop a career. We are a fully bilingual law firm (Spanish-English, and Portuguese) with a second office in Everett, MA, and all of us are either bi-cultural or have extensive personal international experience. The job is located in Providence, RI.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
