Mills Automotive Group is Hiring a Parts Director Near Columbia, SC

Job Summary:
The Parts Director at Classic Ford Lincoln - Columbia is a highly motivated individual responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department. This includes managing inventory, creating and implementing sales strategies, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. This is a full-time individual contributor role that requires a strong knowledge of the auto industry and a passion for driving sales and meeting targets.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Parts Director will receive a base salary of $130,000 to $170,000 per year, paid semimonthly. In addition to the competitive salary, this position also offers the opportunity for commission based on sales performance. Classic Ford Lincoln - Columbia also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
  • A solid track record in wholesale is a must!!!
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase parts sales and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of parts to meet customer demands
  • Manage the parts department budget and expenses
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of parts department employees
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable pricing and terms
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes, and make necessary adjustments to sales strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory, and provide reports to upper management as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and compliance regulations
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the auto industry, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role in the parts department with a strong background in wholesale business
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
