Summary:

Milrose Consultants, in partnership with Project Expediters Consulting Company – a nationwide permit and entitlement expediting firm – is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for their Utility Permitting Department. With over three decades of expertise, Milrose has established itself as the leading national provider of building code compliance, fulfillment, and consulting solutions, serving thousands of clients, municipal agencies, and utility providers across the United States. From due diligence to code analysis, land use, zoning analysis, and special inspections to occupancy approval, Milrose is known for its long-term relationships and industry leadership.

This position requires in-person attendance four (4) days per week at our Manalapan, NJ office, with an option to work from home one day per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager to Initiate Service Order which may include being tasked with the following:
    • Assist in preparing and submitting utility applications.
    • Request Load Letters from the Engineer of Record (EOR) or Architect of Record (AOR).
    • Submit necessary documentation, including load letters, utility applications, site plans, and relevant plumbing and electrical drawings, to the utility company for gas and electric services. Additionally, provide a Google Earth image of the property to clearly identify the site.
    • For water and sewer services, submit the application and utility site plan. Additional documents may be provided if requested by the utility department.
  • Follow up with the utility department to ensure a Utility Engineer is assigned to the project.
  • Schedule and coordinate onsite meetings with the utility department, client, and contractor (once awarded).
  • Ensure all necessary documentation, including invoices, easements, and client signatures, are collected and submitted to the utility department for order processing.
  • Track and follow up on payments with the client and contractor to ensure timely processing.
  • Provide the project team with critical information such as account numbers and associated meter numbers.
  • Ensure the correct transfer of billing information to the client for accurate billing.
  • Obtain necessary Will Serve Letters and address designations to support the project.

Education and/ or Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred, particularly in roles involving architectural or civil engineering firms.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with solid listening abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capable of working independently, leading a team, and collaborating with other internal departments effectively.
  • Strong ability to research, interpret, and communicate through various municipality portals or websites.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high-volume production environment while maintaining the highest levels of customer care and a friendly, cooperative attitude in both verbal and written communication.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (creation and editing), PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position who is regularly scheduled to work at least 40 hours per workweek.

Compensation:

Milrose Consultants, LLC is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary offered is determined by several factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills.

Annual Salary Range: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 USD
