Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy assistant to join our team. As an Occupational Therapy assistant, you will work with patients to help them regain independence and improve their daily functioning. You will assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to promote optimal physical and mental well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration
- Teach patients adaptive techniques and strategies to enhance their independence in daily activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Monitor and document patients' progress throughout the treatment process
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and assistive devices
Qualifications:
- AS in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy assistant
- Experience working with the pediatric population
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and acute care settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- CPR pediatric and adults certified
