Mindgruve is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, SEO to lead our search engine optimization efforts and drive our digital presence to new heights. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEO best practices, technical expertise, and experience in creating data-driven strategies that align with our clients’ business objectives. As an SEO Director, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing SEO strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to maximize organic search performance, and optimizing client websites for search engine visibility and user experience.

What You'll Do Here:

• Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies that align with business objectives and drive organic growth.
• Analyze and monitor SEO performance, identifying trends, and developing data-driven insights to guide decision-making and strategy adjustments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content, design, and development, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated throughout the organization.
• Team development & management experience
• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and content gap analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Oversee technical SEO initiatives, including site structure, internal linking, and on-page optimization, to improve crawlability, indexation, and overall site performance.
• Collaborate with the content team to create high-quality, SEO-friendly content that attracts and engages target audiences.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive backlink strategy to improve domain authority, increase referral traffic, and drive organic search visibility.
• Monitor and analyze website analytics, including traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates, to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in search engine algorithms to ensure the organization's SEO strategy remains current and effective.
• Provide regular reports and presentations on SEO performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
• Create and develop estimates for clients projected SEO performance based on recommendations

We Need a Person With:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of driving organic growth and increasing search engine visibility.
• Strong technical SEO skills, including expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.).
• Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large data sets and derive actionable insights.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Experience managing and mentoring a growing team of SEO specialists to ensure client deliverables are completed within the scope of the project
• Experience with SEO tools such as BrightEdge, Conductor, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, etc.) and website development best practices.
