Job: Medical Lab Scientist I

Duration – 181 days assignment months (Temp to perm ----- We are looking for temp staff to convert to permanent)

Location: Warren MI

Schedule: 10PM - 0630 AM M-F rotating weekends

We also have a role in Detroit MI too.

U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or individuals with an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) are eligible to apply for this position

Note:

• Previous Generalist experience at a hospital required.
• Blood Bank experience required

Job duties:

• 1 – Is this for and Medical Lab Technician [2 year MLT degree ] or Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist [4 year BS] or are you open to either? Looking for MT/MLS/CLS 4 year BS candidates but open to 2 year MLT degree with the right experience.
• 2- Please confirm if ASCP or AMT certification is required. [If required, are you open to eligible /registered candidates?] ASCP or AMT certification is required due to hospital setting, OPEN TO ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES THAT ARE NOT CERTIFIED WITH PROPER GEN LAB/BB EXPERIENCE
• 3- Are you seeking a generalist [proficient in testing in all Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation] or are you seeking a Micro Lab worker with Molecular background? Generalist- Hospital experience required- Blood Bank required.
• 4- What department will this technical position support? [Micro lab, Core lab, DNA sequence, etc.] Core Lab
• 5- Is Blood Bank experience required for this role? Required

Education Requirement:

• Education requirement: BS (Generalist experience in hospital a must, blood bank experience required ). BSMT, MT/MLS, open to MLT with the right experience.
• ASCP OR AMT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED- HM WILL ENTERTAIN NON CERTIFIED ASSOCIATE WITH THE PROPER GEN LAB/ BLOOD BANK EXPERIENCE AS LONG AS THE ARE ASCP ELIGIBLE. [Must complete and obtain ASAP]
