Contract Opportunity (No C2C)

Chicago based asset manager is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team for 6 to 12 months. This role will have contract to hire opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Software Engineer will bring a robust background in software development, coupled with an expertise in the C# and .NET framework
• This role will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and maintaining top-tier software solutions tailored to meet our client's specific needs
• The role holds significant importance through the software development lifecycle, encompassing everything from initial design and coding to rigorous testing and seamless deployment
• You will design, develop, and maintain microservices following best practices, ensuring optimal performance and integration with other system components
• You will create, optimize and manage data structures and pipelines by collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements for data storage, processing, retrieval, pipeline design and data modeling
• You will work with complex data models and ensure smooth data flow within the system by understanding data models, analysis and design, implementation and testing

Qualifications

• 2 years of C# and .NET framework and Python (preferred)
• Experience using .NET to build APIs and backend web services
• You are proficient in writing automated testing (unit tests and integration tests)
• You have proven experience (2 years) designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust backend systems, including work with micro-services architecture
• You have a deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, large-scale, distributed applications
• You have strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a diverse audience
• You have expertise with data storage solutions ( SQL and NoSQL databases) and data processing Frameworks
• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or bootcamp
