Mindy's Bakery is Hiring a Pastry Cook Near Chicago, IL
Set up & break down of your station Follow & execute proprietary recipes, both from our recipe book as well as verbal instructions
Complete tasks on prep list in a timely and efficient manner
Receive, understand, and learn from constructive criticism
Knowledge of our menu - including all rotating specials, beverages, preparation techniques, main ingredients, and allergen information Follow all safety & sanitation guidelines Follow all checklists that pertain to opening and closing, and feel confident performing all the tasks associated with both Maintain a presentable appearance and adhere to our dress code Maintain appearance and cleanliness of the bakery - keeping counters, displays, tables and floors clean and presentable at all timesRequirements & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience in Pastry Prep/Production
Organization skills Ability to excel in a team setting A valid Food Handler's Certificate Ability to stand for the duration of a shift Ability to work early mornings (as early as 4 AM)Compensation & Benefits: Salary (negotiable based on experience, starting at $800/week or $20/hr), plus pooled tips, which are added to the last paycheck of each month Weekly pay (every Friday) PTO Subsidized health insurance We always feed youSchedule:This position is FULL TIME (5 days per week), and requires weekend and holiday availability. Our bakery is open Wednesday through Sunday -- 7:30am to 3pm during the week, and 8am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. However, we have staff working and prepping daily.
