School Operations Coordinator

Salary: $45,000-$48,000 per year

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Education: Minimum High School or GED. Associate’s Degree or higher in related field preferred.
• 2 years’ experience working with online curriculum preferred.
• Experience: 2-4 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Licensure: Paraprofessional certification (certification process will be paid for by Mingus. Required within 90 days of employment).
• Possibility for overtime and potential internal promotions.

FUNCTIONS:

· Develops, maintains, supervises, and evaluates school expectations to ensure the environment is safe and secure and one in which students can learn cognitively, behaviorally, and emotionally.

· Through interaction and observation of staff and students, provides supervision, role modeling, teaching, instruction, and support working directly with staff and students.

· Monitor class transitions

· Monitor Bathrooms

· Establish norms with staff and hold staff accountable to the expectations

· Support teachers with classroom management

· Address major behavioral issues

· Check for building and classroom cleanliness

· Assist with cafeteria supervision

· Participate daily in an end of day meeting to discuss and write the daily report

· Supports staff with creative, helpful tools for student management and program improvement.

· Re-directs negative behavior and encourages the use of positive coping skills

· Directs staff in times of crisis.

· Provides ongoing feedback to administrators concerning licensing, federal, state and local law, accreditation standards, and policy and procedures pertaining to daily living and student’s overall wellbeing.

· Seeks guidance in self-improvement and is receptive to feedback.

· Contributes to the students/school outside of “normal” job responsibilities (i.e. coaching, activities.). Volunteers for extra duties/activities.

· Responsible for communication to treatment teams to ensure timely updates are conducted regarding the student’s progress or regress.

· Works productively with other Program Directors. Addresses/exposes all agendas, receptive to feedback, shares information, supports decisions made by team, etc.

· Adheres to Mingus policy and practice concerning creation, editing, transmission, storage, and disposition of all Protected Health Information in compliance with HIPAA

Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center is a Joint Commission accredited residential treatment center for emotionally and behaviorally at-risk adolescent girls. MMYTC is located on a 120-acre campus surrounded by National Forest, 25 minutes from the town of Prescott Valley.
