Vice President, Personal Systems North America Category Description - The Role As Vice President, Personal Systems North America Category you will oversee the North America category market, lifecycle management, business planning and category operations. You will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic game plan across the North America Market on a rolling 4-quarter basis to optimize category profitability. The role represents the category to stakeholders and is accountable for delivering the fiscal year P&L goals. The core charter also includes:
Developing the category strategy and sets the 4P plan for four quarters across the markets.
Managing the overall business and demand planning process for the category to ensure clear line of sight on category forecast and execution status to inform critical financial and business review processes.
Driving operations for the category and market lifecycle management, including product lifecycle operations (e.g. SKU creation, price setup), market launch readiness and NPI activities, market and customer insights.
Engaging with key stakeholders to drive successful 4P execution including Personal Systems Business Unit Leader, Global Business Unit General Managers, Market Sales Leaders and Market Managing Directors.
Responsibility for delivering a balanced scored against key metrics: revenue, OP, OP%, Market Share, E&O
Education and Experience Required
University or bachelor's degree, advanced degree or MBA preferred.
Typically, 15 years of professional services experience.
Demonstrated successful experience in managing global teams
Ability to strategically lead a team with a vision for the future and a lens of transformation.
Strong process discipline and financial rigor.
Exceptional collaboration, partnering and influencing abilities
Understanding of global Markets and dynamics
Value that this role brings.
Be a strategist and decision maker regarding the design of 4P plans and execution approach into the markets for optimal business results
Ability to observe areas of opportunities and potential gaps to proactively adjust plans and mitigate adverse impact or capitalize on benefits to the P&L
Orchestrate successful integration of 4P plans and collaboration amongst functions within HP to ensure alignment for successful execution
