Job Title: Security, Door Person - 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM Shift

Position Summary:

The security, door person of Sacred Heart Village is the face of the building. This candidate is responsible for providing amazing customer service, to tenants, and visitors while ensuring the safety and security of the building. The ideal candidate for this role will be professional, and courteous, and must have genuine concern for the elderly and sensitive to their special needs.

Essential Functions:

· Monitor traffic in and out of the building.

· Calm demeanor in deciding whether an emergency is taking place and provide the appropriate action.

· Respond when an emergency is activated from residents.

· Make emergency calls to appropriate first responders when necessary.

· Ensuring guests and visitors entering and leaving the building are following policies and procedures for entering and exiting.

· Monitor security cameras.

· Answer phone calls, greet tenants, and visitors.

· Maintain a log of significant events that transpired throughout the shift.

· Assist residents with packages deliveries, groceries, etc., within the guidelines of the policies and procedures.

· Other duties needed to help drive our vision, and fulfill our mission, of “The Poor should never be treated poorly”.

Education/Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Equivalent work experience a plus.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Ability to demonstrate empathy, warmth, compassion, genuineness, and positive regard for all residents.

· Ability to use plain and simple language to communicate.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Works well under pressure.

· Willingness to consent to and the ability to pass a criminal background check, and drug screening. Fingerprinting background required at candidate’s expense.
