Minnesota United FC is Hiring a Development Program Administrator Near Blaine, MN

Position:
The Development Program Administrator is part of the Development Program for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.
Job Description:
The Development Program Administrator will be critical in the day-to-day administrative duties of the MNUFC Development Programs. Working with development program leadership and Soccer Operations, the Development Program Administrator ensures that the logistical and support needs for training, travel, games, events and other MLS Next activities are met. This is a full-time position based in Blaine, MN.
Essential Duties:
Administrative
  • Manage the registration process for players through MLS Next and other applicable competitions to ensure all players are properly registered
  • Oversee roster management for all upcoming games and events
  • Oversee travel coordination by booking and coordinating transportation, hotels and meals for team travel, e.g., reserve meeting rooms, prepare rooming lists, coordinate IT needs
  • Set-up and maintain TeamWorks Software for all scheduling of training and matches
  • Maintain proper records for rosters, insurance and waivers
  • Provide communication to players, parents, coaches and staff about training/match schedule, travel questions, missing equipment, etc.
  • Assist the Player Welfare Manager with the development, execution, and management of MNUFC’s Homestay Program
  • Act as the subject matter expert on all MLS Next rules and regulations
  • Support daily equipment and player care functions, collaborate with staff in these spaces to ensure Academy needs are met
  • Assist the Head of Player Pathways and Head of Soccer/Business Operations with the management of the Academy Operational budget
    • Monthly budget reviews, concur expense coding, annual budget projects
Competition
  • Communicate with opponents in order to coordinate home and away matches, time of games, uniforms, availability of locker rooms, athletic trainer access and training fields
  • Ensure game fields are set up to reach MLS Next standards
  • Schedule referees for friendly matches through local referee’s assignor; confirm referees for all matches and record names of referees for accurate payment
  • Assist in maintaining annual competition calendar for all age group teams showing training, travel, recovery and off days
Education/Experience:
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, particularly tasks that are time sensitive
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Ability to keep a strong and positive attitude that reflects the spirit of the Club
  • This role requires a high level of trust and managing delicate and sensitive information
  • Ability to manage a diverse project load, maintain attention to detail, and regularly communicate and build strong, positive relationships with staff is essential
Requirements:
  • Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policies and guidelines
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and the occasional holiday
  • 40% travel required
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with the professional soccer landscape preferred
  • Ability to speak in other languages is a plus
  • Familiarity with SafeSport preferred
