Title: Student Research Assistant

Job description:
- -Carry out and assist with online and library-based searching and review of scientific literature in connection with research projects.
- -Generate and compile relevant map data, and convert textual information to GIS/map formats.
- -Plan, carry out, and assist with fieldwork, sampling, sample preparation, and data analysis.
- -Assist with organization and preparation of geoscience laboratory facilities and materials.
- -Other related incidental duties.
Abilities:
- -Effective use of office productivity software; ability to learn and use applicable technology and laboratory equipment.
- -Lift and carry/transport objects and materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
- -Read, interpret, and follow directions and protocols.
- -Legibly record appropriately detailed and clearly worded field and laboratory notes.
