Description
The Project Manager plans, organizes and controls project-planning activities for effective management of electronic security installation projects to include all aspects of systems scheduling, engineering resources, field installation, commissioning and ensures customer satisfaction. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project budget management, project implementation, inspection and client acceptance. The Project Manager must be capable of executing multiple projects varying in size and complexity on time and within budget through effective communication, preparation and management techniques.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and detailed information on projects, Technician and/or Contractor job progress, photograph files, daily tracking reports, job costing and communicate regularly throughout the project regarding job progress or status, installation issues, concerns or problems.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules and coordinate task-scheduling with other trades.
- Plan and schedule engineering, installation and subcontractors as needed.
- Supervise installation labor and sub-contractors.
- Work closely with billing to ensure that all projects assigned are being billed timely and within the guidelines established by the specific project.
- Prioritize team workload to ensure quality results are delivered on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot project issues and engage appropriate management and resources as needed.
- High level programming for projects to see project to competition
- Job commissioning & closeout with customer
- Be team lead on project installation where required to complete jobs in a timely manner
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the electronic security industry is preferred.
- CSPM, PMP Certification preferred.
- Solid knowledge of PM techniques tools, contract laws and regulations.
- Factory certifications (Software House, Lenel, S2, Genetec, Exacq) is a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player with strong work ethic.
- Excellent follow-up and leadership skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence others.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.
- Ability to conduct site walks and attend onsite customer meeting.
