Job Purpose: Admits patients into our programs and facilities by maintaining scheduling guidelines; marketing programs; obtaining applicant information; scheduling and confirming appointments; completing scheduling process; resolving patient dissatisfactions if they arise.
Duties:
* Maintains and executes scheduling guidelines, policies and procedures.
* Markets programs and facilities by preparing and providing informational brochures; answering questions; telephone communications, letter writing, file management.
* Obtains patient information by requesting completed applications, medical information and insurances; verifying and clarifying information ; interviewing patients and family members; explaining criteria.
* Screens patients by comparing patient's condition to admission criteria; evaluating and scheduling patients.
* Admits patients by completing admission and financial responsibility forms, insurances; coordinating and arranging physical, social, emotional, and support service requirements.
* Resolves dissatisfactions by investigating concerns; recommending changes in service policies and procedures.
* Prepares insurance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
* Orders office supplies and materials as needed to run the office efficiently.
* Works with Hearing Care Professional in the office to professionally care for the hearing-impaired needs.
* Protects organization reputation by keeping information confidential.
* Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
* Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
