- Direct and coordinate the nursing units under their supervision.
- Provide resident care services with kindness and compassion to the residents.
- Plan, organize, and oversee staff to provide patient care.
- Evaluate care and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the department's daily staffing requirements.
- Orient clinical staff to their job responsibilities.
- Act as an interface between the staff, residents, and the residents' families.
- Implement and interpret organizational policies and procedures, and nursing standards and regulations
- Good communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledgeable in the SNF State and Federal regulations
- Manage a team and provide direction and care coordination
- Manage the nursing care of sub-acute and long-term care residents with a wide range of elderly care and rehabilitation needs
- In charge of restorative program
- Ensure assignment of staff are appropriate, manage personnel including skills
- Train and educate staff members
- Evaluate nursing staff performances
- Ensuring nursing operational standards and other policies and procedures are met
- Handle complaint and other issues
- Provide reports on productivity, quality and customer service metrics
- Assist in admission and discharge process
- Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program
- Must possess and maintain a current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of 2 - 5 years of RN Experience in Long Term Care is required
- Previous Long Term Care Supervisory experience is highly preferred
