Join us as the Director of Facilities!

As the Director of Facilities for MiraVista in Holyoke Massachusetts, you’ll bring your experience and knowledge to where your voice matters. The Director of facilities is responsible for administration, direction and oversight of all plant operations and environmental services within the facility. The Facility Director supervises the day-to-day operation of the department to assure that maintenance and repair work is done in a safe and timely manner.

How You Care for Our Patients

The responsibilities of the Direct of Facilities:

  • Schedules and manages routine maintenance on all building systems
  • Mitigating risk and oversees safety and security
  • Inspecting the facility routinely to look for issues
  • Oversees all contractors that work with the facility
  • Ensuring the facility complies with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards
  • Handles long-range planning to support future needs and growth
  • Helping with plans for renovations, additions, or new buildings
  • Management of Service Request intake and work order management, delegation of work, and tracking of completion.
  • Contract negotiations for facilities related scopes. For example, Elevator Maintenance, Fire Systems Maintenance, and Monitoring.
  • Verify all work is completed to a satisfactory level.
  • Develop and oversee scheduling and deployment of required inspections for Fire Safety Systems and Elevators
  • Compliance of Fire Systems Inspections, Repair, Upgrades and Fire Systems Monitoring

You Bring Meaningful Experience

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilities management required
  • Experience working in a hospital setting required
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national building codes, NFPA Standards, The Joint Commission Standards, OSHA, EPA, etc. required
  • Knowledge in facilities management, building systems, and project management within a hospital environment required
  • Project management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of relevant health and safety codes
