This position will work within teams to accurately cut linears for the welding team to build aluminum enclosed and open trailers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Following health and safety rules
• Wear personal protective equipment
• Read and correctly interpret work orders
• Proper operation of miter saws, chop saws, table saws, skill saws, and tape measures
• Proficiency at reading and executing BOM's, blueprints, and/or cut sheets
• Communicate between production lines and material handlers to ensure raw material availability
• Cut metals to correct lengths, widths, and angles by model/layout
• Identify and utilize correct parent material when further processing to cut parts
• Ensure all processed parts are finished and staged on line(s) prior to production needs
• Store tools and materials in proper locations when not in use
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area at all times

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Use various power and hand tools, experience preferred
• Read and use a tape measure
• Willingness to cross-train between departments
• Read and follow work instructions
• Able to work 40 - 60 hours a week. Schedule is 7am - 5:30pm with a half hour lunch, Monday - Friday and every other Saturday from 7am - 3pm.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Good attendance is required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and twisting.
• Must be able to move up to 75 pounds at times.
